Old Church is one of the parishes in the Diocese with a trained Pastoral Team, available to serve the needs of all people of the parish. If you feel we can be of help about spiritual or other matters, if you would like a home visit for the purposes of Holy Communion, if you would like to share prayer at home, then please contact Jean or Paul Martin.

If you wish to discuss special services of baptism, confirmation, for marriage, or to celebrate the life of a departed friend, then you are asked to discuss your needs with one of the members of the Church family who can help answer your questions . A charge is made for some services. you’ll find our Table of Fees here.

Children & Young People

During Sunday morning services, children between the ages of five and eleven enjoy exciting activities when they attend Junior Church, either in church or at the Dorothy Parkes Centre, next to Old Church. On the second Sunday of each month, it is usual to meet in church to share the morning service with parents or carers. Children under five are very welcome, if with parent or carer. The theme of the activities is usually linked to the bible readings of that day. All leaders are experienced in working with children and are DBS/CRB checked.

Parochial Church Council

Old Church Parochial Church Council is the Executive Committee for the church and comprises the Vicar, Churchwardens and representatives of the laity who are there through elections which are held annually, together with those who have special responsibilities and occupy their places ex officio. Legally, the council is responsible for the financial affairs of the church, sharing the costs of maintenance with the Trustees, and promoting the mission of the church.
